Welcome to the Blackboard e-Education platform—designed to enable educational innovations everywhere by connecting people and technology.
A recent Microsoft update has improved security in the Windows operating system. An artifact of this update is that downloaded files are automatically 'untrusted' unless explicitly marked otherwise. This behavior may result in the following error messages appearing on newly downloaded files, including those downloaded from the ualr.edu website (such as forms). This issue could also affect Blackboard course file downloads.
Errors: "Corrupted" or "Inaccessible"
Fix: To resolve this issue, you should open the file properties (i.e. right-click on the file name, left-click on 'Properties') and left-click on the 'Unblock' button.

Our office(STaR) was recently alerted to a suspicious email asking for verification of a user's Blackboard account. Please be aware that this seems to be a phishing attempt to gather personal information. Please proceed with caution, and delete the email.
